Welcome to WOLFEHAVEN: Your Private Mountain Hideaway
We renovated this place in 2020 with a whole lot of love and attention to detail. Our goal was simple: make it super comfy, energy-efficient, and modern without losing that cool, old-school farmhouse soul that makes it special. Whether you’re here to tackle the mountain hiking trails or you just want to chill on the porch with your dog and a good book, we’ve got you covered. It’s the kind of place where you can finally take a deep breath and just let the mountain air do its thing.
About the Property: A Little Piece of 1925
The history here is pretty neat and runs deep through these hills. This farmhouse was originally built way back in 1925, and it has seen a lot of life since then. While the original big manor house of the property was torn down years ago, this home remained, serving as a sanctuary for the many workers and families who tended to this land over the decades. When you stay here, you’re not just renting a room; you’re stepping into a piece of local history that’s been polished up and cared for just for you.
We are tucked away in a sheltered valley, surrounded by a real-deal working farm that is actively managed for both crops and timber. You’ll hear the wind rustling through the timber and the birds calling across the fields. It is a true escape from the frantic pace of everyday life.

The Porch Life
Seriously, the sunrises here are next-level. Grab your favorite coffee mug, head out to the big, spacious front porch, and watch the world wake up as the sun peaks over the property.
Our Wild Neighbors
Keep your eyes peeled and your camera ready! We share this valley with plenty of locals, including deer, wild turkeys, the occasional black bear passing through, and a pair of resident Redtail hawks that love to circle above.
Easy Access
We offer free private parking right where you need it. You can choose to enter through the front (just a few steps) or use the rear entrance which only has two steps—perfect for when you’re hauling heavy suitcases or groceries.

A Quick Note on Recovery
As you probably know, Western NC took a hard hit from Hurricane Helene. It was a tough time for our community, but we feel incredibly blessed and grateful that our structures only sustained minor damage. We’ve spent the time since making sure everything is in pristine shape and ready for guests. We are officially OPEN, everything is dialed in, and we are so ready to help you have an awesome Asheville experience. Coming to visit, eating at our local spots, and exploring our trails is one of the absolute best ways to support our mountain community right now!

Things to Do: Close to the Fun, Far from the Crowd
One of the best parts about WOLFEHAVEN is the location—it’s practically unbeatable. You get that "middle of nowhere" peacefulness without actually being stuck in the middle of nowhere. You can spend your morning in total isolation or be sitting at a world-class restaurant downtown in the time it takes to listen to a few songs on the radio.
15 Minutes Away:
-
Downtown Asheville: The heart of the mountains! Go for the food, stay for the art galleries and the famous street performers.
-
Biltmore Estate: You’ve got to see America’s largest home at least once—the gardens are incredible, and the winery is a must-visit.
-
Asheville’s Best Breweries: We’re famous for our beer for a reason; check out the South Slope for a massive variety of local pours.
-
Asheville Airport (AVL): We’re close enough that your vacation starts almost the minute you touch down.
5 to 10 Minutes Away:
-
Blue Ridge Parkway: Jump on "America’s Favorite Drive" for stunning overlooks and some of the best hiking in the country.
-
NC Arboretum: A local favorite for groomed walking trails, beautiful botanical exhibits, and easy biking.
-
Tanger Outlets: If you’re in the mood for some retail therapy, the mall is just a quick drive down the road.
-
The Basics: You’re never stranded here—grocery stores and a bunch of great local restaurants are just around the corner for whatever you need.

If you’re looking for a spot that feels like a hidden treasure but is still close to all the Asheville action, you’ve found it. At WOLFEHAVEN, LLC, we’re all about that "best of both worlds" vibe. You get the total peace and quiet of a historic farm, but you’re just a hop, skip, and a jump away from a cold craft beer downtown. We know how hard it is to find a spot that offers true privacy without being hours away from civilization, and that is exactly the sweet spot we’ve created here.
